Recommended Thai Movies Eng Sub Forum
I know people from Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other SEA countries are interested with Thai movies, and there’s a lot of Thai movies online, but the problem is, there are no English subtitles available. So we need some kind-hearted Thais or other people who can understand Thai languages and was able to translate it to English, to help us make English subtitle for these movies:
1. Love Summer (timing available)
2. Bankok Kung Fu
3. Bangkok Sweety
4. August Friends (timing available)
5. Hug Na Sarakham (timing available)
6. ATM (better eng sub, timing available)
7. And so on…
NOTE:
We can do a manual/direct translations for movies 1, 4 and 5 but the problem is the Thai sub uploaded online is in .idx and .sub file. We’re not able to convert it to .srt (so that we can open and edit it easily and able to translate via google? LOL), cause we’re not able to finish the OCR (Optical Character Recognition). The “OCR” process requires you to put on or type Thai Characters that is on the .sub file until all the Thai Characters on the .sub file is recognized. This is to enable the software to covert the characters on the .sub file to text(or to .srt file). We’ve tried softwares like ABBY FINE READER (designed for recognizing PDF and image files and able to convert it to text but we’ve failed. We cannot also find any Thai sub in .srt format online. That’s the mere problem right now. Moreover, timing is available on those movies we’ve mention because when you convert the .sub file to .srt, the sub timing is also included.
If you’re interested to do the sub, here’s the instruction.
1. First, download this software, SubRip and you need an extractor for .rar/.zip files like Winrar.
2. Download the .sub file on asiatorrents or just contact us (via Facebook preferably, or just comment below) and we will send the .sub file for you. If you don’t have asiatorrents account, register now and bypass it’s lame survey http://on.fb.me/HEGW2q.
3. After downloading SubRip , open the SubRip Application.
4. Open VOB
5. Find the directory of the subtitle file (you should extract first the subtitle you’ve downloaded from asiatorrents).
6. After that, this will come up (see pic below) and hit “START”
7. Then it’s now the OCR process. Type all the characters (you will not type all the characters on the .sub file, the OCR will stop after all characters in the file are recognize).
8. After that save the file as .srt [you can send us the .srt file if you want to do only steps 1-8, and we will distribute the files and ask for other people to translate it, it would be fine and great for us, or we’ll just translate it via Google. But it’s more accurate if Thai pros will do it 🙂 ]
9. Now that you have the .srt file, you can open it with notepad or any software like Subresync and you can now edit the subtitles.
10. Please inform us if you just have uploaded it online or you want us to upload the file and we will give you a full recognition.
